06:01 pm - Demi
On the 30th of July, my Angel of Dream Wang Zi arrived in my eagerly waiting hands.  His name is Dmitri von Hausen (Demi is his nickname).  No relation to the WWI general :P.  I just wanted to put up a few photos of him.

(this is my favorite one yet)

If you're interested, there are/will be many more photos at www.yippiee.deviantart.com

05:20 pm - Hetalia Gakuen Cosplay - The Beginning
Wow, I don't post much... I should start!

I've decided to start a new, considerably ghetto cosplay for whatever convention I attend next probably Tekkoschocon next March. "orz

It's going to be...

*drumroll*

HETALIA GAKUEN!!!!!!!!

I went to the wonderland that is Goodwill today and hit a jackpot - I found:

-Red blazer
-Checkered skirt
-Tan sweater
-Brown shoes

...all for about $20.  Three cheers for being miserly!

I mean, they're not EXACTLY like the costume, but hey...

Not that bad, eh?

I still need:

-White knee socks
-red tie
-to trim the sweater in black
-to figure out which girl I'm cosplaying
 (I'd make a HORRIBLE Seychelles - I'm too pale.)
-To put the logo on the jacket

Also maybe a white petticoat-skirt thing to fill up the skirt.
I'm thinking perhaps fem!England.  Or fem!Russia.  I'd be okay for fem!Russia... (6'0"...)

  <--So far.

Maybe I'll splurge for a wig, since the costume itself was so cheap.

I'd love suggestions or ideas since I'm new at cosplaying.

To finish off the entry, here's my dog chewing on a cup.

And also:

FUCK YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  CHAMPIONS WOO *various guttural sounds*
I'm a huge Pens fan.  Don't hate.

06:46 am - Adopt the pace of nature: her secret is patience.
On the weekend of August 23, me and my parents took a little relaxing vacation to Cooks Forest, PA as a last hurrah before I started high school.  Due to my grandmother's stroke in June, my mother really deserved the getaway.  I didn't take too many photographs, but the few I did were rather picturesque.

Well, we started out in a dinky little room in a place called the Clarion River Lodge.  Beautiful location, but for $150?  I thought that room was a RIP-OFF.  Three people, one queen sized bed.  It was seriously tiny.  It even smelled bad.  Regardless, a pleasant little twist of fate came upon us in the form of a lodge worker.  She said that the kindly owner had seen that we were a family of three, so she upgraded us to a suite at the top of the mountain for the same price.  The drive up to the place was a bitch, but it was completely worth it.  We were hanging with the upper crust of the Clarion River society!

This was suite livin' for my family.  Har-har.

The kitchen.  Look at all of those ghostly orbs - mysterious!

The wall was an insanely pretty color.  It completely worked with the decor.  It was also a topic of discussion during the trip.

Lalala, what a nice place~ Lalal- WAIT! What's that, a balcony...?

*cue majestic orchestra swell*

What beautiful... trees...

The river was very low - too low to canoe, in my opinion.  So we floated instead.

All-in-all, it was a nice trip.  I'm more of an active, do-everything-possible vacationer, but it was nice to get away for a weekend.  It gave me too much time to think.  Hope you enjoyed!
